And the Oscar goes too...

I hate to admit but maybe you will agree, 

I tend to expect some drop dead gorgeous gowns from the nominees.

Yet, I have been seeing the best of the best, on presenters!

This year there were statements to be made on the red carpet. 

One particular trend was undeniable...

 COLOR!

Beauty, uniqueness and style in all forms but color speaks and we all listened!

Like the princessy yellow on Alicia,

the sleek silk and sequined emerald on Rachel & Saoirse, 

the iridescent purple on Naomi, the beautiful belted blue (cobalt) on Brie, 

the sea foam and floral appliqués on Cate, 

the mod, sexy with hints of lace, cutouts mixed in the black numbers of 

Julianne, Kate, Jen & J-Law.

All the ladies of the red carpet brought it this year, 

but one lady in particular SLAYED!

And you know my feelings on this color sometimes. 

But this time, it is just outstanding...

The Award for Best Dressed

I must admit, I was not crazy about this year's Golden Globes (show) 

because the host just wasn't my favorite

So I flipped back and forth during the broadcast.

The one part of the show I watched very intently was the RED CARPET, naturally!

And to my own surprise, unlike many of years past

I'm keeping this one short and simple...

Truly stunning because it's sleek and classic but so daring with cutouts
Some said the cleavage is startling but I strongly disagree.
The Valentino gown has so many strong and beautiful design elements to it!


Jennifer Lopez 

(per usual) 
Nails it. giving us almost old hollywood chic 
with the subtle waves, the cap and the color in Giambattista Valli

Olivia Wilde

Head to toe...
Knocked it out of the park.
The waves, the merlot/bronzy eye makeup
Bulgari jewels, Aldo shoes
This plunging and sequinned halter from Michael Kors was my absolute fave!
